So Ironic
Last night Jim drove back from Pennsylvania to help me with Charlie during his nighttime feedings -- only problem is Charlie didn't have any! Yes Charlie finally slept through the night last night. Went to bed at 6:45 and woke up at 5:15. It was a beautiful thing.
So that very same night Jim and I were lying in bed about to go to sleep when I said one morning we are going to wake up and realize Charlie has slept through the night. It seems like it will never happen. Maybe he will be 5 years old and still waking up for a bottle! Maybe we won't ever get to sleep through the night until he leaves for college. We had a little laugh about it and then it happened exactly as we said ironically enough. Jim's alarm went off at 5:00 so he could drive back to Pennsylvania and we realized Charlie had never woken up once!
I felt bad Jim drove 5 hours round trip for nothing, but it was nice that we got to share him sleeping through the night together. What an exciting first to enter in the baby book!
