Charlie's New Tricks

Charlie is getting very good at sitting up now. He has just learned to get himself from his side into a full sitting up position, though he topples over after a minute or two. His latest trick is pushing up onto his knees. We think he'll be crawling before long - - scary!! I'll post photos from our first family vacation soon.

Six Month Check Up

Charlie had his 6 month check-up and immunizations yesterday. He weighs 17 pounds and is 27 inches long! This puts him in the 45th percentile for weight and the 70th percentile for height. He is getting much better about sitting up and I think in the next month he'll be doing that with no help. Here are a couple of recent photos. Once again he's chomping on his crinkle book. I apologize, but since that is seriously all he ever does it's about impossible to take a photo without something in his mouth!

1/2 Birthday

Happy 1/2 birthday Charlie! I can't believe you're 6 months old today. The time has flown by! And it's pretty cool that your 1/2 birthday is Aunt Ali's birthday. Happy birthday Ali! I'll post some photos this weekend.

Swinging Around

Charlie went in a swing for the first time this past weekend. He really liked it, especially chewing on the nylon straps. We also got to meet Aunt Missy's baby girl who is only 6 weeks old!

Oatmeal Facial

Charlie decided to give himself an oatmeal facial because today is a very special day and he wanted to look his best. Today is not only Uncle Chris's birthday, but Aunt Jenn's too! Happy birthday to both of you!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there! Oh and I think we spoke too soon about Charlie's hair calming down as evidenced in these photos.

In Mourning

All of a sudden Charlie's hair seems a lot less...shall we say crazy? Jim and I are a bit sad that he's lost his spikiness because it was Charlie's signature and certainly brought lots of attention. I can't tell you how many smiles Charlie gave people when they caught a glimpse of his hair. In order to properly mourn the many great Charlie hair-dos over the last 5 months I thought I'd post the very first one taken about an hour after he was born when the nurse at Valley Hospital gave him a mini mohawk.
